Not that deep though, is it? I remember a cold winter in Ontario when we had about four feet of snow. But the surface had hardened so that we could walk across the surface. However, falling through did happen. Almost lost our wiener dog that way. Lol.
No, it’s only about 8″ or so. And no, it’s not quite crunchy enough to walk on top, you still break through. That’s funny about the wiener dog… I can just see him, tunnelling around under the snow.

One minute he was there, and the next, poof, gone. All we could see at last was the tip of his black tail every so often when he jumped. Lol.
