They’re gorgeous. But their drawback that they’re huge and heavy, on the order of a textbook, so they don’t lend themselves to just reading as readily as the picture-less hardcover or paperback. I’m still going to keep both versions! 🙂
Good to know! Maybe those will be borrow-from-the-library, read-aloud-with-dad, and for keeping to just pick up and read any old time we’ll get regular editions. (Provided they like them enough to want to own them … HP is one of the few fantasy series they can’t just filch off my shelves, since I don’t own it myself!)
When my girls are old enough for Harry Potter, these are the editions I am getting for them!
